“Walking is incredibly painful for her.”

Meet Cassie England

Cassie has a genetic disorder called Recessive Dystrophic Epidermolysis Bullosa. This disorder causes the skin not to have anchoring fibrils which hold the layers together. Any friction or pressure on her skin can leave large blisters, or shear the skin off completely. Cassie’s fingers have fused together, her knees are contracted, and walking is incredibly painful for her. Despite living in near constant pain Cassie is bright, talented, creative, and loves to hang out with her friends, go to the movies, and be like other girls her age. She loves anime, drawing, cats, and Monster High. She wants to be an artist when she grows up.

**Cassie passed away on January 10, 2014. She has a brother with EB, so if you would like to help her Dad Logan out financially, you may do so securely by clicking her donate button.
